Burger King UK and Teen Vogue are not having a good week. Both had avoidable social media crises, but you don't have to. Words to the wise:
💼 Spokespeople bring their baggage. And then it becomes yours.
🚫 Straightforward is better than funny, snarky or clever. If you’re not sure how a post will land, don’t do it. Context matters and social media’s brevity makes it hard to convey.
👻 Good intentions help but don’t inoculate. And bad intentions can haunt you, especially when you post them online.

📺 We’re still talking about Oprah’s explosive interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, days later. They finally got the chance to tell their story in their words. More importantly, it reminds us that the value of broadcast media still exists -- the ability to watch something simultaneously in our homes brings a sense of shared connection that streaming simply can’t. And broadcast remains one of the best options to convey authenticity and earn credibility.

⬇️ There are a few up-and-coming social media tools including Caffeine, another option for those looking to host a live broadcast online, and The Dots, a new professional networking site tailored to the virtual workplace.
⬇️ TikTok launched a Q&A feature that gives viewers and creators new ways to connect. In videos, users will be able to designate their comments as Q&A questions, which are then labeled as questions in the comments section. This makes it easy for a creator to quickly identify and answer questions.
